The production-ready Ram EV is finally showing its face ahead of its Super Bowl ad. Details are expectedly light on this battery-electric rig, but the folks at Ram do have some concrete details. The first important detail is the name. Ram is officially calling this battery-powered pickup the Ram 1500 REV. The name is a clear nod to the Ram Revolution concept shown earlier this year. Ram also says this BEV pickup is scheduled to hit the assembly line in 2024.
The biggest reveal in this commercial? Well, the truck. While Ram showed its wild-looking Ram Revolution concept earlier this year, the production-ready Ram 1500 REV is toned down and features more traditional Ram styling. In fact, it seems like the folks at Ram borrowed the general theme of the current-generation Ram’s styling and gave it the necessary BEV accommodations.

Ram doesn’t note when its “Premature Electrification” commercial will air during tonight’s match between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, but the company does note that it snagged a full 60 seconds for the commercial. The ad itself mocks your run-of-the-mill male-targeted pharmaceutical ad in a way that genuinely might confuse some folks that are enjoying the NFL’s championship game a little too much.
If you can clean enough of the Buffalo Wing sauce off your fingers to use your phone or computer tonight and you want to jump in line for one of these trucks, Ram already has a site open to take reservations. Though, the company notes this won’t become available until 2024. By then, it’s safe to say the company will release important details like price and performance specs.
